For more than 50 years, Jerry Painter, a third generation bricklayer, has been in the masonry business.  Painter has experience in all phases of masonry construction including:  journeyman mason, masonry contractor, masonry materials, masonry materials manufacturing, lecturing, instruction, promotion, inspection, and consultation.

Painter is currently the President of the Masonry Society.   He is past president of the Masonry Association of Florida (MAF) and the Board Trustee of the North Central Florida Chapter. Mr. Painter currently serves on the Board of the Florida Masonry Apprenticeship and Education Foundation (FMAEF). He received the MAF Lifetime Achievement Award for 2001. Painter is currently the Technical Committee Co-Chairman and the Florida State Chairman for the Masonry Contractors Association of America (MCAA). He serves on ASTM Committees C12, C15, and C27, and chairs Subcommittee C15.05. He is currently Chair of C12 and a Fellow of ASTM. Mr. Painter was honored in the 1st
Class of MCAA’s Hall of Fame for his leadership and support of the masonry industry.
